Kläppen offers excellent opportunities for those who enjoy fishing. Whether you prefer fly fishing, spin fishing, or angling, there are many places to explore.

Fishing in the Rivers

The area around Kläppen has several waterways with good fishing.
Fuluälven, Görälven, and Västerdalälven are popular examples, where char and whitefish are commonly found.

Put & Take

Just south of Kläppen lies the well-loved Gråhedsdammen.
Here, you can easily fish in a Put & Take pond, and you can conveniently purchase a fishing permit on-site with Swish.

Fishing Permit

The fishing permit is valid for flowing waters, lakes, and streams. In Sälen, there are two different fishing conservation areas:

Transtrands fishing conservation area – areas north of Kläppen
Lima fishing association – areas south of Kläppen

You can purchase fishing permits at the receptions at Kläppen's Camping.

Hire a rowing boat

When you hire a rowing boat, you start from Kläppen's Camping. A life jacket is included and can be collected from the reception at Kläppen's Camping.

350 SEK / 3 hours
500 SEK / full day
The boat must be returned at least one hour before closing.
